This piece was a commission from my dear friend Joe Ready in memory of his firned and student Caleb Eaton.  The piece is in 3 movements: 1. Harsh Reality, 2. Thoughts of Loss, 3. Live Life to the Fullest.  
 
A Dedication from Joe Ready
“This piece is dedicated to my former student, Caleb Eaton, who committed suicide shortly after the Covid-19 lockdown began in 2020. Caleb was one of my first students after moving back to Oregon. He was a dedicated music student always asking questions about playing the tuba and always working to improve. His musicianship progressed ten-fold over the course of his senior year of high school. Caleb was a kind-hearted, motivated young man and a joy to teach. Even though Caleb is gone, he will not be forgotten.”
